As part of an ongoing investigation into the marketing of video games, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has sued the makers of “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” for failing to disclose that the video game contains a “mini game” where the game’s characters can engage in explicit sexual acts. The video game was originally rated as mature, but would have been given an adult-only rating if the industry rating board knew of the explicit sexual content. The civil suit alleges that Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. made misleading statements in marketing the game and engaged in unfair competition.
