LG Countersues Sony for Patent-Infringement
LG Electronics Inc. has filed a patent-infringement complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against Sony Corp., seeking to block Sony from selling certain televisions and game consoles in the U.S. LG has also filed two civil suits against Sony for violating its patent rights over electronic devices, including TVs, personal computers and cameras. LG’s actions are in response to Sony’s previous patent infringement complaint against LG, in which Sony is seeking a similar order from the Commission to block LG from shipping smartphones into the United States.
