A recent report indicates that Hewlett-Packard Co. has settled a series of lawsuits brought by rival Lexmark International Inc. for breach of a non-competition agreement by one of Lexmark’s former employees. Lexmark claimed that one of its former executives violated non-compete restrictions when he left Lexmark and later joined HP. The $525,000.00 settlement also prohibits the executive from intentionally interfering with Lexmark’s worldwide customers or soliciting its employees to work at HP through to July, 2008.
