Google Sued for Disclosing Search Queries

A class-action suit has been launched against Google, alleging that the company’s practice of disclosing search queries violates user privacy.  The suit concerns Google's practice of including search terms in the URL for search-results pages, which URL is then passed along to the publisher of the next Website clicked on by the user.  The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.

Commentators have noted that Google’s actions are similar to a large number of other Websites, and that this sort of information sharing is a fundamental element of Internet marketing.
