Facebook Sues Canadian Porn Site

Popular social networking website Facebook has sued an Ontario corporation for allegedly accessing Facebook’s computers for the personal information of its members. The Ontario numbered company named in the suit operates online under the name SlickCash and specializes in adult-oriented content. Toronto residents are also named as defendants as well as Istra Holdings which owns SlickCash.

The suit broadly alleges improper access, copying and use of data from Facebook’s computers and network. Facebook obtained court orders requiring ISPs Rogers Communications and Look Communications to provide subscriber information associated with certain IP addresses.

The suit further alleges a nominal damage claim “in excess of $5000” as well as irreparable harm.
