China Issues Internet Publishing Licenses for the First Time
The National Copyright Association (NCA) in China has issued fifty companies licenses that will permit these companies to publish text, graphics, and multi-media on the Internet. The companies to receiving the licenses include 12 Internet portals, 22 publishing companies, 5 newspapers, and 5 audio and video publishing companies. A second set of licenses will be released in the near future.
