Canadian Software Company Sues Dell for Patent Infringement
Mississauga-based 01 Communique Laboratory Inc. is suing Dell Inc. and LogMeIn Inc. for patent infringement. The patent in question relates to virtual private network software that allows computers and other devices to connect securely over the Internet. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. In July, 01 Communique won a favourable ruling on the same patent in an infringement suit against Citrix Systems (although it is currently under appeal).
