Andrew Strempler, founder of RxNorth, an Internet-based pharmacy, has filed an appeal to the Court of Queen's Bench in Manitoba to reverse a decision by the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Board that found him "guilty of unskilled practice of pharmacy and professional misconduct." The decision upholds a disciplinary committee's decision that Strempler violated the Pharmaceutical Act by filling prescriptions for American patients that were written by doctors who were not licensed to practice in Canada. Strempler asked the Court to stay the decision of the Board pending the outcome of the appeal.
