Apple alleges that at least 21 products released by Samsung within the last year infringe 8 patents owned by Apple. The alleged infringing products include Samsung’s current flagship device, the Galaxy S III, which has been well received by critics and consumers, resulting in sales of 10 million units within less than a month.
The latest allegations by Apple are brought in a different suit than that which awarded Apple $1.05 billion in damages last month. The previous suit was based on a different set of Apple patents and older Samsung devices running Google’s Andriod operating system. There does not appear to be a shortage of patents or allegedly infringing devices as the smartphone wars continue.
