Missouri AG Latest to Question Google on Data Capture

The Missouri Attorney General is the latest government authority to question Google on its widespread capture of unsecured wireless-network data. The data, captured by Google's StreetView vehicles, includes the contents of e-mails and other personal information. While the AG is not clear on whether Google broke state law, he has impugned the company's respect for privacy and has asked questions about the use and security of the captured data. Similar questions have been posed by authorities in France, Germany and Canada, and Google is facing at least 7 class action lawsuits over the matter.
