Lawsuit Claims Apple iPad Infringes Nokia Patents
Nokia recently filed a lawsuit against Apple claiming that technology used in the popular iPad and iPhone infringes five of Nokia's patents. The patents are said to relate to technologies for enhanced speech and data transmission for application in smaller and more compact devices. The recent lawsuit follows an earlier lawsuit by Nokia against Apple for patent infringement relating to the iPhone, to which Apple responded by countersuing for infringement of Apple patents by Nokia.
